CULTURAL PROGRAM
We offer a wide cultural program including: excursions, participation in local events, tastings and all kinds of activities that can enrich students.
We begin our stay with a sightseeing tour of Valencia. We visit its most famous monuments and also show you lesser-known, interesting places and corners of the city. The city tour is organized by a licensed guide.
ATTRACTIONS OF VALENCIA
Valencia is a city of contrasts. On the one hand, there are many monuments, museums and winding streets of the old town, on the other – the futuristic complex of buildings of the City of Arts and Sciences (Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias).
In addition to monuments, Valencia offers wide, sandy beaches, the largest oceanarium in Europe (Oceanografic), a zoo (Bioparc) and numerous city parks and gardens. The most famous are the Turii Gardens, located in the former nine-kilometer long bed of the Turii River.
LOCAL EVENTS
A good way to learn about Spanish culture and customs is to participate in local festivals and events.
The biggest local celebration in Valencia is Las Fallas (Fire Festival), which runs from March 15 to 19. Valencia then pulsates with the rhythm of pyrotechnic shows and resounds with the sounds of music. The main attraction of the festival are gigantic, colorful figures placed on the streets, burned on the last night of the festival (La Crema).
CULINARY WEALTH
Valencia is a place worth visiting not only for its location, monuments, and history. It also boasts an incredibly rich culinary heritage.
The most famous dish and the pride of the entire country is paella – a rice dish prepared in a special pan. We organize a paella cooking course for our students in the form of a competition. During the event, students are divided into two teams and work together to prepare paella, the taste of which is assessed by a jury. The event culminates in a group tasting.
CATAMARAN CRUISE
One of the most popular activities among our participants is a catamaran cruise on the Mediterranean Sea. The cruise takes place at sunset in an intimate atmosphere, with music and refreshments. Thanks to the warm climate, it can be enjoyed year-round.
Valencia’s wide beaches are the perfect place for relaxation and recreation. Our students love spending time there regardless of the season! Besides classic sunbathing, swimming, and strolling, it’s worth taking advantage of the numerous volleyball courts and free events like salsa lessons and concerts organized around the port.
SPANISH LESSONS
Our Spanish lessons are fun, interactive and dynamic. One of our priorities is to teach professional vocabulary to make it easier for students to communicate in the workplace.
During our classes, we also share our knowledge of Spanish customs and traditions, because we believe that the best way to get to know Spain is to immerse yourself in its culture.
